The trip takes about five minutes, but at most 10 minutes. The ferry runs 364 days per year, 12 hours per day. It is closed on Christmas day and if the wind reaches 30 miles per hour or the river is up the ferry is closed. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
